Tool Room Associate- Romulus, MI
Location: Romulus, MI
Pay: Negotiable – Based on Experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | Four 10-Hour ShiftsHours: Flexible Start & End Times
Looking for an experienced Tool Room Associate who wants a 4-day workweek, flexible hours, and competitive pay based on experience.
This position supports tooling used in plastic and rubber injection molding. We're looking for someone with hands-on machining, tooling, or mold experience who can assist with mold repair, maintenance, and fabrication.
What You'll Do
- Repair, maintain, and assist with building injection molds
- Machine and fabricate tooling components as needed
- Troubleshoot tooling and mold issues
- Perform precision machining and repair work
- Support preventative maintenance and tool room projects
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized tool room
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is highly preferred:
- CNC machining
- Bridgeport mills
- Manual lathes
- EDM equipment
- CAD/CAM programming
- Mold repair and maintenance
- Mold building
- Plastic or rubber injection molding tooling
You do not need to have experience in every area listed. Candidates with a strong machining, tool room, mold repair, or mold-making background are encouraged to apply.
